Five flowing singletrack trails for downhill daredevils

From root carpets to high alpine trails, the following five Great Trails all have one thing in common: flow. This feeling of being in the moment and sweeping from one corner to the next can be experienced better than anywhere else on the Arzler Alm Trail, the Blindsee Trail, the Fleckalm Trail, the Leiterberg Trail and the Plamort Trail. These five outstanding sections of singletrack represent the best of Tirol's more than 115 trails.

The Great Trails were selected by a panel of experts according to the criteria length, difficulty and landscape.

"It doesn't get much better than this. After a flowy section you reach a bunker complex with breathtaking views of the Reschensee lake and the surrounding mountains."

Lars Lotze, Mountainbike Guide

"A beautiful natural trail without any artificial elements and with a few tight twists and turns which can be ridden smoothly without sliding out the back wheel."

Sebastian Rech, Owner of the Velo Love Bike Shop in Innsbruck

"Very varied trail leading through alpine meadows, forests and rocks with a mixture of relaxing and challenging sections.“

Lisi Hager, Cycling Journalist and Former XC/Marathon Rider

"Very flowing trail which winds its way down through some steep terrain without becoming too technically challenging."

Benedikt Purner, Downhill Local and Trail Builder

"It is the length of this trail that makes it so exciting. Riders need good concentration and fitness levels in order to ride it clean and fast from top to bottom."

Lisi Osl, MTB World Cup Overall Winner 2009
