Gastronomy Meilerhütte, hut

Spectacular mountain hut of the Alpine Club located at a high altitude with delicious meals and accommodation on the Wetterstein Ridge. Since 1898.

Description

The historic Meilerhütte has been situated like a high-alpine rock fortress in the Dreitorspitzgatterl on the Wetterstein ridge at 2,366 metres above sea level since 1898. During the summer months, you can not only enjoy delicious food but also spend a comfortable night at the spectacular Alpine border between Bavaria and Tyrol from June to end of September. Not far from the Meilerhütte, climbing enthusiasts will find a vantage-rich via ferrata, and the hut is also an ideal base camp for the summit climb on the Dreitorlspitze.

OVERNIGHT STAY
From mid-June to end-September, hiking and climbing guests can also spend the night at the exposed refuge. A total of 11 cosy room places and 70 traditional camp beds are available. A hut sleeping bag is compulsory for overnight stays, so please book in good time by telephone. During the winter months, a shelter is available for emergencies.

STARTING POINT
The ascent to the Meilerhütte starts from the car park or the regional bus stop at Hotel Hubertushof. Car drivers will find plenty of parking spaces at the pay car park or leave the car about 300 metres from the starting point in the Leutasch district of Reindlau. From the starting point, follow the well-signposted hiking trails to the Meilerhütte.
