Walking tour to the Almkopf - beautiful view to Berwang, Bichlbach and the Zugspitze mountain!
From the Egghof car park in the upper village of Berwang (approx. 200 m from the tourist office) to the "Bärenarena" (summer sports center). Continue on the wide gravel path direction Jägerhaus-Hochalm. Turn left at the crossing and follow the sign Hochalm. The ascent through the forest follows from the Hochalm (refreshment stop). At the glade you can decide to take the circular trail "Rundweg" on the left to hike up to the Almkopf with a view to the village Bichlbach, or you can go the direct path up to the Almkopf summit on the right. At the top you'll get a wonderful view!
In summer you can also take the Sonnalmbahn (4-seater chairlift) to the Hochalm during operating hours and hike from there up to the Almkopf summit (walking time approx. 30 minutes).
