Exploring Innsbruck with Accessibility in Mind: Experience the treasures of our beautiful city without barriers—it’s possible!

With this suggestion, we’d like to introduce wheelchair users, people with limited mobility, and families with strollers to a suitable tour through our beautiful Old Town and to its special sights. Whether you’re on your own or with a companion, this sightseeing tour is suitable for everyone. The museums along the route are all designed to be accessible. It’s a little easier if you have a companion who can open the doors for you at the museums. However, you can also call the museums using the provided phone numbers so that the doors can be opened for exciting discoveries.

Our tour through Innsbruck’s city center begins at the Imperial Hofburg, as the most centrally located accessible parking spaces are here on Rennweg. The Innsbruck Museumstraße station is also nearby.

We set off through the Old Town with a short detour to the Inn River, explore Innsbruck’s main shopping street, and end at one of the city’s most important landmarks: the Imperial Court Church. If there’s still time, we recommend taking the Hungerburgbahn for a breathtaking view of the city and the surrounding mountains.
