Long circular hike from Höfen along the turquoise-blue Lech, the “last wild river”, via Weißenbach and Rieden.
The circular hike starts at Hahnenkammhalle in Höfen and initially leads past the airfield towards Weißenbach. Following the Lech, the “last wild river”, the trail continues upstream to Weißenbach. There, cross the bridge and continue towards Rieden. The route leads through Rieden and under the Ehenbichler Straße via an underpass. From there, follow the trail directly along the Lech to the Lech footbridge. Cross the river once again and hike back to Höfen. The tour ends at Hahnenkammhalle.
Take
bus line 110 or 120 to the "Höfen
Tourismusbüro" stop. There are a few more stops along the route that allows alternative entry- or exit points to the tour. Timetables and bus stops can be found at www.vvt.at.
