Description

The Alpengarten Tyrol on the Hahnenkamm invites visitors to experience the impressive flora of the Alps up close and without barriers. The innovative project combines an experience of nature with inclusion and is designed to be particularly family-friendly. Visitors move around on wheelchair-accessible wooden walkways, which ensure that the sensitive natural environment is treated with care and at the same time provide easy access for everyone.

A specially developed web app provides comprehensive information on the alpine plants in German, English and child-friendly language. The content can be accessed on site by scanning QR codes directly with a cell phone. This makes the Alpine Garden a modern place of learning that combines knowledge and the experience of nature in a unique way.

The barrier-free offer on the Hahnenkamm is complemented by the barrier-free Alpenrosenweg and the barrier-free circular trail around the mountain lake. Together, these attractions offer a unique combination of nature enjoyment, education and accessibility for all age groups.
