To the Bichlalm – Family Fun with Kaiserschmarrn & Petting Zoo
Correct footwear (sole with a tread, firm hiking shoes)
Clothing (quickly drying, protection against wind, rain and cold)
Sunscreen – ATTENTION: strong sunlight in the mountains! Sunglasses, head protection, sunscreen with a high sun protection factor
First aid kit (gauze bandage, plaster)
Charged mobile phone
Drinks and food (drink plenty of fluid on hikes – but avoid alcohol!)
From the town center in Hintertux, head first toward the Alpenbad Hotel Hohenhaus (House No. 774). There, follow the road to the right, passing the Windegg (No. 748), Fernerblick (No. 744), and Haus Christina (No. 740) houses, until you reach a fork in the road.
At the fork, keep left and continue hiking along the forest road (Trail No. 17) steadily uphill to the Bichlalm. The wide and pleasant trail makes this hike particularly family-friendly and relaxing.
Once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, a small petting zoo, and a cozy spot to stop for a bite with freshly prepared Kaiserschmarrn.
The return route follows Trail No. 15 toward the valley station of the glacier cable car and then continues on Trail No. 11 back to the starting point in Hintertux.
