Description

From the Kössen Information Office, head west across the Staffen Bridge, then follow the Achendamm; cross the street at the Hotel Waidachhof and pass the Brennerwirt. After just a few meters, follow the sign on the right for the Kaiserwinkl Golf Course until you reach the Hotel Riedl. Halfway there, you can turn left and hike back to Kössen via Leitwang (Trail No. 12). Before reaching the Hotel Riedl, turn left, following the road sign for “Oberbichlach.” The trail climbs gently, passing the Vorderauk and Hinterauk farms and the Lehenhof, into the Durchen district to the Huttenbichl farm, and continues past the Bauringerhof to Kranzach. Walk briefly along the main road, then turn left immediately, pass the old sawmill, then turn right over a narrow bridge to cross the Weissenbach, and after the forest, turn left and walk toward the lake. Turn right over the bridge and continue past the Seehotel Brunner, then follow the lakeside promenade to the village center of Walchsee.
