Mountain hikes Lake Heiterwanger See Loop

Scenic circular hike from Seespitze on Lake Plansee around the turquoise waters of Lake Heiterwanger See.

Description

The circular hike starts at the Hotel Seepitze at Plansee. Cross the pedestrian bridge and turn left. Now follow the hiking trail along the shore of Lake Plansee. You will soon reach the canal and Lake Heiterwanger See. Now turn left and walk over the bridge by the canal. The trail now leads around Lake Heiterwanger See and then back to the starting point at the Seespitze on the section of trail you have already walked.

Tip: The hike can be perfectly combined with a boat trip across the two lakes. You can board the boats along the route at the boat stops at the Seespitze and at the Hotel Fischer am See in Heiterwang. The sailing times of the boats depend on the weather and water level. Current opening and sailing times can be found on the website of the Hotel Fischer am See or at the tourist office of the Reutte Nature Park Region.
