How far away are the planets in our solar system? Do the distances remain the same? Do they change periodically, or even permanently? How long would it take to travel to the edge of our solar system?

You’ll find answers to these and many more questions along the “Reutte Under the Stars” Planet Trail. Take an hour to explore and discover all there is to learn beyond Earth. At each station, gain new insights into Stars, planets, moons, and asteroids. Find out where water exists, where mining raw materials might be worthwhile, and where else in our solar system life might exist.

On this interactive walk, our main goal is to help you grasp the vast distances that separate the planets. At a normal walking pace, you can complete the Planetary Trail in about half an hour. Based on the trail’s scale of 1:2,550,000,000, you would be moving at 8 times the speed of light. The individual planets along the trail are represented by models.

Information:
The “Reutte Under the Stars” Planet Trail can be explored year-round. The brochure available at the museum and the tourist office will help you find your way along the trail. If you’ve always wanted to learn more about a specific planet, now’s your chance!

There’s a fun puzzle game about the Planet Trail for kids. Help the astronaut mouse find his way around the solar system. You can pick up the puzzle game for €1 at the museum or at the Reutte Tourism Association.

A public guided tour along the Planet Trail is offered every second Tuesday of the month. It starts at 8:00 p.m. at the museum in the “Grünes Haus.” Cost: €4 for adults (reduced rate €3). Children up to age 14 and guests with a Reutte Nature Park Region Aktiv Card can participate for free.
