The coolest night toboggan runs in Tyrol

There are numerous night toboggan runs in Tyrol, which are floodlit in the evening and whose starting point can usually be reached by cable car, which extends its operating hours accordingly on selected tobogganing days. Some of our favourite toboggan runs are located in the immediate vicinity of the provincial capital of Innsbruck, such as those on the Rangger Köpfl family mountain, Maria Waldrast at the foot of the Serles, Tyrol's highest toboggan run in Kühtai or at the entrance to the Stubai Valley on the Elfer or in Mieders. But you can also look forward to two great toboggan runs in the Pitztal on the Hochzeiger or on the Gerlosstein in the Zillertal Arena. Just like in Achenkirch in the Christlum ski area or in Virgen in East Tyrol with the rustic Würfelehütte. There are several night toboggan runs in the Brixental Valley area with the Hexenritt and the Mondrodelbahn in Söll and Hochsöll, on the Astberg in Going and on the Gaisberg in Kitzbühel. All our toboggan runs presented here bear the Tyrolean natural toboggan run seal of approval from the state of Tyrol. They are groomed daily and some are even covered in snow.

If you are planning a night-time toboggan run, please check in advance whether the toboggan run is open in the evening. There are usually selected tobogganing evenings when the lifts run longer, the restaurants are open and the toboggan run is floodlit. In the vast majority of areas, you can also hire a toboggan - toboggan hire is usually available at the valley or mountain station of the cable car or directly at a mountain hut. If there is no direct toboggan hire, please take your own toboggan with you or ask for a hire toboggan in one of the sports shops.
Even if the toboggan run is floodlit, you should not do without a good headlamp. A helmet also protects against head injuries in the event of an accident. Also bear in mind that it can get bitterly cold in the evening, especially on starry nights. It is best to put on all your ski equipment - anorak, waterproof ski trousers, ski goggles, mittens, etc.

Tobogganing - by day and by night - is fun for young and old, for children and adults alike. The range of toboggan runs in Tyrol is so wide that you will find the right toboggan run for every fitness level and skill level: with cable car lifts, separate ascents via hiking trails, toboggan taxis or shuttle services. Cosy huts invite you to stop for refreshments before the tobogganing fun can begin on a wide variety of runs: Some are particularly winding, others have many long curves, some are quite steep, while others are rather flat and wide. They are categorised as easy, medium and difficult.
