Lush meadows, craggy peaks, wonderful views – the region around Lake Achensee, Tirol's largest lake, offers a fabulous backdrop for a round of golf.
Many of the region's most beautiful courses lie at the foot of the Karwendel and Rofan Mountains. In Pertisau and Achenkirch, two villages on the western and northern shores of Lake Achensee, you will find two clubs. The Golf & Landclub Achensee is the oldest golf course in Tirol and offers an 18-hole course surrounded by meadows, forests and a few traditional wooden huts. There is also a driving range as well as a chipping green and a putting green. Slightly to the north is the Golfclub Posthotel Alpengolf, a 9-hole course with a sunny location near the Karwendel Mountains Nature Park. There are also several practice areas plus a friendly clubhouse serving excellent food.
