Known as one of the top mountain biking spots in Tirol, the Ötztal Valley offers a huge range of trails, lines and enduro rides. Right at the heart of it all is the village of Sölden, home to the fine citizens of the Bike Republic Sölden.
Teäre Line, Ohn Line, Rettenbachtrail and Enduro Gletscher-Express – those are the names of just some of the mountain bike highlights which await riders in the Bike Republic Sölden. Ranging from enduro routes and natural trails to shaped lines carved into the landscape, this is without a doubt one of the best destinations in Tirol for downhill daredevils and all those who love to get out and explore on two wheels. Sölden is the capital of the Bike Republic Sölden, where everyone is welcome to become a "citizen". Each rider receives their very own Bike Republic Sölden passport and with it the right to vote on decisions concerning the trails and bike parks. A good place to warm up is on one of the two pumptracks that go by the names Sunny and Rollin'. The latter of the two is one of the largest pumptracks in Tirol.
Those in search of a little more peace and quiet should head for Hochoetz and Längenfeld, where there are plenty of great cross-country rides. The two-day Ötztal Trail and two stages of the long-distance Bike Trail Tirol also pass through the valley.
