Riding e-bikes in the Kitzbühel Alps

Equipped with electric motors, e-mountain bikes are an interesting alternative to standard mountain bikes. With more than 5,600 kilometres of trails, Tirol is a haven for those enjoy exploring the great outdoors on two wheels.

These days modern e-bikes provide the battery boost needed for between 1,000 and 1,400 vertical metres of climbing per day and make pulling heavy trailers up even steep ascents a piece of cake. Electric bikes can be hired from many locations in Tirol, while many lots of mountain huts provide charging stations where you can re-charge the battery while you enjoy your meal. At the end of the day you can charge your bike overnight at your accommodation so the battery is full and ready to go the next day. From the Tirolean Oberland to the Karwendel Mountains, East Tirol to the Kitzbühel Alps, Tirol has a huge variety of mountainbike routes for all abilities. Keep an eye out for the top MTB regions in Tirol, where you will find not only outstanding bike infrastructure but also lots of events going on throughout the summer.
