Description

2nd tour section "Treasure chest of Tyrol" with the Wipptal
The second section includes the "Tyrol treasure chest" with Tyrolean mining traditions and numerous cultural and natural treasures. The section begins in Jenbach in the Inn Valley and leads via the Olympic city of Innsbruck into the Tyrolean Wipptal valley and on to the border with Italy. The cycle path through the Wipptal valley runs over Patsch and Ellbögen, where you cycle along the Roman road past old and authentic Tyrolean mountain farms. We would like to point out that there is no official cycle path between Steinach and the Brenner Pass and that you have to take the main road (12.5 km). Cyclists can of course use the hourly S-Bahn train from Steinach am Brenner to the Brenner Pass.
