Description

From the car park, follow the trail across the shallow ford. After a few metres, turn right. If the water level is too high, take the detour via the bridge, then turn right and ride past the farmhouse. Once you have crossed the ford, continue for a few metres and turn right. You will soon pass a large, carved wooden owl. After this, the track climbs steadily uphill through the woods. At the fourth hairpin bend, there is a wonderful view of Achenkirch and Lake Achensee. The area next to the route is very steep here. Continue past the junction to the Koglalm (not serviced) until you reach your destination, the Seekaralm (1,500m, serviced). From the Seekaralm, you can continue on foot. Those with extra stamina can hike to the Seekarspitze (2,053m, approx. 1.5 hours).

Note: The distances given indicate the length of the one-way route, as shown on the map and in the elevation profile.
