MTB circular tour covering 16.9km and 360 metres of elevation gain. Scenic sections along the Steinberger Ache, a rock tunnel and the Kraftplatz viewpoint make this route special.
From the starting point, follow the asphalt road down to the stream Steinberger Ache. Turn right and climb the forest road alongside the stream to the Schmalzklausenalm (not serviced). The route returns to Steinberg am Rofan via the Satteltal and Schönjochtal, passing the Kraftplatz viewpoint, a peaceful place of power to stop and relax.

Take the regional bus (line 4080 towards Achenkirch, change to line 7801 to Steinberg am Rofan) and get off at the stop "Steinberg a. R. Abzw Waldhäusl". The inn Gasthof Waldhäusl is located nearby.
Turn off the Achensee main road (B181) in Achenkirch in the direction of Steinberg am Rofan. Follow the L221 Steinberg state road for just under 9km until you reach Steinberg am Rofan. The Unterberg car park is signposted on the left-hand side of the road just after the village sign.
