Description

The mountain hike starts near the old sawmill Rotlechsäge at the car park between Anrauth and Kelmen. The wide graveled hiking path begins at the strong right-hand bend. This runs rather flat through the forest to the crossing before the valley Gröbental. At a private hut, the bride path branches off to the right onto a path, follow the sign Schlierewand (on the left you get to the Tarrentonalpe). Always follow this ascent, partly through the forest and over beautiful meadows, past the blooming alpine rose fields and over steep, stony terrain up to the summit of the Schlierewand 2.217 m.

Recommended round: Ascent from Kelmen, descent to Mitteregg or sawmill Rotlechsäge but also possible in the other direction.

Descent options:
- the same way back to the sawmill Rotlechsäge
- Descent to Kelmen (very nice but a bit steep)
- Descent to Mitteregg

IMPORTANT NOTES:
●   Stay on the marked hiking trails
●   Keep your distance from grazing animals
●   Be aware of the mountain hut opening hours
●   Alpine emergency call: 140
