High spirits with energy-saving cable car support: the panoramic tour to Rosskopf and Wetterkreuz impresses summit conquerors and pleasure mountaineers alike.
Two cable cars meet at 2,020 m above sea level in Hochoetz: The Acherkogelbahn (Oetz valley station) and the Ochsengartenbahn (Ochsengarten valley station). The panoramic summit tour to Rosskopf and Wetterkreuz starts from here, passing the Neue Bielefelder Hütte. If you choose to return via the Acherberg Alm, the entire circular tour takes around 4.5 hours. The Hochoetz panorama restaurant and the cable car for the descent await you at the finish.
Ascent with the Acherkogel cable car or the Ochsengarten gondola. From the top station, hike on the wide forest road to the Bielefelder Hut (2,150 m). You pass the hut and continue on a well-maintained but steep hiking trail towards Mohrenkopf. Below the summit, you reach the junction "Old Bielefelder Hut." The path then rises only slightly, and on the left a steep path branches off up to Rosskopf (2,399 m).
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL train station. Then you can conveniently and quickly continue with public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination!
