Ca. 2-hour hike in the picturesque Schönachtal with a cozy cottage retreat. Ideal for families with baby carriages up to the Issalm.
The wonderful trail starts at the music pavillon, from which the slowly rising hiking trail no. 511 leads into the Schönach valley. After a short walk you will reach the Jörgleralm (1.300m) an a bit further the Stinkmoosalm (1.350m), where you are rewarded with a breathtaking view. Continue to follow the hiking trail to the rushing Schönach stream and then you will come after about 1 hour to the Lackenalm (1.405m). Then turn right at the Issalm (1.460m) junction onto hiking trail no.7. The always more increasing forest path takes you to the Stackerlalm (1.850m) after approximately 1,5hours. From here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the glacier of Schönachkees.
With the bus 4094 to Gerlos.
