Description

The high-altitude trail runs through the high alpine terrain of the Allgäu Alps. It leads you through rocky, exposed terrain or directly over the rocky, airy ridge of the central Allgäu main ridge. In exposed or steep sections, there are steel cable protections for the most part (!). On the north or shady side, old snow fields are also possible in summer.
Your ascent of the Heilbronn Trail will take between 2 and 3 days. If visibility is good, you are guaranteed fantastic and certainly humbling views of hundreds of Alpine peaks.
Sure-footedness, absolute freedom from vertigo, good alpine fitness and alpine experience required!
