Gregor Mahringer
Gregor is a filmmaker who loves nothing more than spending time in the incredible mountain scenery of Tirol and sharing the amazing sights he sees along the way through video productions for the Tirol Tourist Board. He is outdoors as much as possible, riding his mountain bike or snowboard.
The Wildspitzbahn on the Pitztal Glacier is at 3,440 metres above sea level the highest cable car in Tirol. Nowhere else in Austria can passengers travel as quickly and comfortably into the realm of eternal snow and ice. However, building and operating a cable car at this altitude is a huge technical and logistical challenge requiring innovative solutions.

Opened in 1955, the Valluga II in the ski resort of St. Anton is the oldest of the six cable cars featured in this series and was the highest cable car in Austria when it came into service over 60 years ago. Even if it still looks the same as back then, it today enjoys legendary status among the cable cars of Tirol.
