Mountain hikes Arzler Alm – Tiefentalalm

St. Leonhard im Pitztal /
Difficulty ratings: medium
Route length: 11.3 km
Duration: 5:00 h

Rule for hiking: Pay attention to the path! This is not so easy on this fascinating alpine pasture tour, given the impressive views of the Pitztal glaciers and the 3,353-metre-high Rofelewand.

Tour character

Scenically beautiful alpine pasture tour at medium altitude on the Kaunergrat. Also recommended in the fall, due to the long opening hours of the Tiefentalalm and the abundance of larch trees in the area. If the snow conditions allow, you should definitely extend the tour via the easily accessible Kreuzjoch and / or Rappenkopf summits. The views of the mighty Rofelewand are fantastic. You should definitely hike from the Tiefentalalm into the beautiful high valley at the foot of the Rofelewand and the Gsallkopf. The alpine pasture circuit runs along forest paths and typical forest trails. Easily doable with children. Arzleralm and Neubergalm are also recommended as refreshment stops.
