Description

This abbreviated hut tour with three stages is ideal if you want to do a hut tour for the first time or if you only have a few days. This variant is definitely an insider tip, as only a few hut hikers hike in this direction. At the Blaser Hütte and the Padasterjochhaus you are in good hands thanks to the individual and very hospitable care of the hut hosts. Here you can still enjoy the peace and solitude on the mountain during the hike. The tour is classified as medium to difficult (red-black): Total length of approx. 28 km, 2,000 vertical metres uphill as well as 2,000 vertical metres downhill. Start and end point is in Steinach or Trins. For this short hut hike you should also be sure-footed, free from vertigo and physically fit, as well as already have some mountain experience. In case of bad weather, there is an access or descent to both huts in the Gschnitztal valley.

We recommend travelling to Steinach by public transport (S-Bahn), which is included in the guest card from Innsbruck or Brenner.
