The new rooms smell freshly of wood, in the sensitively renovated parlors the cosiness sits at the table. All around the house: mountain meadows, mountain pine fields and the imposing Laliderer Walls!
Always fascinating: the wild and romantic Karwendel mountains with the Laliderer Wänden. The recently renovated Falkenhütte with its charming atmosphere is also worth a visit. The three main access routes lead via the Eng-Alm, the Johannestal and the Laliderertal. The easiest option: from the Großer Ahornboden in the Eng (also a sight to see!), you can hike to your destination in around three hours on easy paths.
A considerable section of the route can be covered on very well-maintained forest tracks. This takes you to the enchanting Kleiner Ahornboden at the end of the long Johannestal valley, a scenic gem far removed from noise and traffic. Against a backdrop of towering cliffs, the route then climbs up to the Falkenhütte, which would certainly rank among the top contenders in any competition for the most beautifully situated mountain huts. This traditional Alpine Club lodge sits enthroned on a green plateau directly opposite the mighty Laliderer Wände. A magical place to gaze and marvel. The descent finally leads through the idyllic Laliderertal valley, between ancient maple trees and imposing mountain ranges.
The route is perfect for a two-day tour with an overnight stay at the Falkenhütte.
