Description

From the car park, first follow the forest path with the no. 40 in a few hairpin bends up to the Nösslach hut. Again and again there is the possibility to take one or the other shortcut and thus shorten the ascent a little. After about half an hour it should be done and the Nösslach hut comes into view, here the path splits and leads in a loop up to the stoles. In my opinion, it is more pleasant for the ascent to choose the more northerly path with no. 40. This begins shortly behind the hut and leads first through mountain mowers, later then through denser spruce forests upwards. A little later you reach the Friedrichsstolen, which in a way forms the historical centre of the entire circular route. Here, there is a lot to discover, from old machines and cable cars to threatening looking heaps of earth. Once you have sufficiently explored the historical equipment and informed yourself about everyday mining life at one or the other information board, there is still a fence to be crossed, before you go down the forest path with the no. 42A. After a few hairpin bends, a cart path turns off to the left of the forest path, follow this and a little later you will return to the Nösslach hut. The descent takes place after a break and then back along the ascent path from the car park.
