Description

A little below the toll house Maria Waldrast follow the turnoff to Obfeldes. At first along the asphalt road, trail nr. 12 tires into a beautiful path, which gradually climbs through light woodland. (from there trail nr. 2 or 29) Again and again you will pass wells and springs which are marked accordingly and illustrated with some information. A little below the "Mutterwasser" the toll road is crossed and you follow the forest path for a while, which serves as a toboggan run in winter. Passing the "Almwasser" and "Sieben Bründl", the trail turns into the "Langes Tal" area and continues on to the Matreier Ochsenalm. Along a magnificent meadow path, the Maria Waldrast Monastery is already visible and can be reached in a few minutes' walk.
