Medium-difficulty mountain path; suitable for sure-footed and experienced hikers; good physical condition, mountain experience and mountain equipment (see under equipment) necessary. Please check the current weather report at: www.oetztal.com/de/sommer.html

Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain and sun protection, a hat, possibly gloves, is required for all hikes and routes. Carrying a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without refreshment options, is necessary.

Description

From the Similaun Hut to the Martin Busch Hut (1 1/2 h) and descent to Vent (2 h) or ascent to Kreuzspitze (2 1/2 h) and then descent to Vent.

Or ascent to the Ramolhaus (3 1/2 h) and descent to Vent or Obergurgl.

Getting here

  • Arrival by public transport

    Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Then you can travel easily and quickly with public transport or local taxi companies throughout the valley to your desired destination!   • Parking

    In the mountaineering village of Vent, you have the following parking options available.

    - In summer in front of the village (parking meter, coins or EC card only) and at the valley station of the chairlift (at the ticket office of the mountain railways)

    - In winter only at the valley station of the chairlift.

    Cost: € 6.00 per day/car
