Description

Wheelchair hike to the Falkaunsalm possible with a Swiss-Trac. The starting point is the parking lot at the Kaltenbrunn pilgrimage church in the Kaunertal.

Shortly before the hamlet of Platz (the first district in the Kaunertal), turn left towards Nufels and you will reach the Kaltenbrunn pilgrimage church in the Kaunertal. From there, continue in the direction of Wiesenhöfe. At the 6th hairpin bend there are some parking facilities next to the road. The route to the Falkaunsalm continues from here along a forest path (gravel), which also has steep and rough sections, but is generally easy to ride on. After approx. 4.5 km and 55 minutes you have reached the Falkaunsalm. A ramp takes you to the guest terrace. The WC facilities at the Falkaunsalm are only partially suitable for wheelchair users. The Falkaunsalm is open to the public and you can enjoy delicious Tyrolean cuisine.
