The wheelchair hike to the Nassereinalm is a somewhat more challenging tour with steep and rocky passages. However, it is easily manageable with a Swiss Trac.
The wheelchair hike to the Nassereinalm is possible via the shore road of the Gepatsch reservoir with a Swiss-Trac. The starting point is the parking lot at Café Seepanorama.
The starting point is the Seepanorama at the Gepatsch reservoir, where you will find disabled-friendly toilets, parking spaces and a lift to the café. The route begins on an asphalt road along the dam wall. After approx. 2.2 km, you branch off to the right and have to tackle a steep ascent on gravel at the beginning. After another 300 m there is a cattle gate that you have to open and close yourself. The forest path is mostly very stony and steep. Inexperienced hikers should only undertake this hike in the presence of an accompanying person. After approx. 5.5 km and 1 hour's drive, you reach your destination. The friendly staff serve typical dishes from the region. The alp is still below the tree line, so the view is somewhat limited. However, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the reservoir and the Gepatsch glacier from the starting point.
Parking spaces: Café Seepanorama.
Toilets: Wheelchair-accessible toilets at Café Seepanorama. The toilet in the Nassereinalm is very difficult to use (door width 50 cm and opens inwards).
Refreshment stops: Café Seepanorama, Nassereinalm.
