The wheelchair hike to the Aifner Alm takes you 6 km through the forest on a gravel path with slight inclines. There are scenic viewpoints just before the Alm.
The wheelchair hike can be done by people who use a Swiss-Trac. The starting point is the parking lot on the Kaunerberger Landstraße in the direction of the Nature Park House - turn-off to the Aifner Alm.
The starting point is a small parking lot near the hamlet of Puschlin in the direction of Kaunerberg. From here you have to drive approx. 1.5 km on the asphalt road or you can park directly at the turn-off towards Aifner Alm (only for experienced hikers!). The route starts on a firm gravel path. After approx. 300 m, a short ascent begins, but it is easy to overcome. The existing hairpin bends along the route (always stay on the main path!) are also easy to cross. There is a very steep and bumpy ascent directly before the alpine pasture. After approx. 6 km and a 1.5 hour ride, you have reached the Alm. The panoramic view is difficult to access, but there are viewpoints worth seeing approx. 300 m before the hut. The alpine pasture staff are very helpful and serve simple alpine dishes.
Parking spaces: No reserved parking spaces at the Aifner Alm.
Toilets: The WC facilities have limited access.
Refreshment stops: Aifner Alm, Almstube (5-7 cm step).
Tip: A forest path (length approx. 600 m) branches off directly in front of the Alm. It leads at a slight incline through a beautiful sparse stone pine forest.
