Easy walk through the Achenkirch valley to the Kranz Waterfall. The 3.2km route can be completed in around one hour.
Standing in front of the Fischerwirt, turn left and walk through the underpass under the Achensee main road. Then follow the paved footpath on the right-hand side of the main road for about 450 metres. Turn right at the third driveway. From there, follow the signs for "Wasserfall" (waterfall). Return along the same route.
Alternatively, the walk can be shortened by starting directly at the third driveway, at the junction of Köglweg and Pulverermühlstraße. This reduces the walking time by about 15 minutes. There is a small car park at the driveway.
Take the regional bus (lines 4080 or 390) to Achenkirch and get off ath the "Achenkirch Fischerwirt" stop.
Drive along the Achensee federal road (B181) to Achenkirch at the northern end of Lake Achensee. Take the first exit “Achenkirch Süd”, then turn left at the junction towards the lakefront. After approx. 350 metres, the lakefront is reached.
