Sturdy boots (ankle-high hiking boots), weather appropriate clothing, enough to drink and eat. Telescopic hiking poles and a first aid kit are recommended. Hut sleeping bag. The tour requires sure-footedness and a head for heights.

Description

The Rofan tour is a challenging multi-day hike where you get to explore the mountains of the Brandenberg Alps on foot and stay overnight in cosy mountain huts. The route has ca. 30 kilometres in total and breaks down into 4 sections. If you enjoy hiking on rocky terrain like a chamois and climbing imposing summits, then this tour is for you.

  • Arrival by public transport

    Take the regional bus to Maurach (line 8332, 4080 or 390) and get off at the "Maurach a. A. Rofan Seilbahn" stop.
