Description

Day 2: Holzalm - Pinzgerhof -> ca. 3 h. - if you include the hike to Gratlspitze calculate an approx. 2 h 30 min.

After breakfast, take off on the second stage of the 3-day family tour. On this leg the hike has few long ascents, crosses meadows and forests to the Alpengasthof Pinzgerhof in Reith im Alpbachtal. Above the Holzalm mountain inn, hike towards the Hauser Saddle and further downhill to the Innerhauserhalm. Continue along an alpine meadow path to the Silberbergalm and then continue along an alpine meadow path to Silberbergalm. Keep left here and always stay on trail R24, first across the alpine meadows and then through a forest to the Pinzgerhof.  Great accommodation with a magnificent view over the Inn Valley awaits you.

Tip: are you up for a challenge

An alternative providing for spectacular sweeping views is the hike up to the 1893m high Gratlspitze - sure-footedness is required! The path starts directly behind the Holzalm leading up to "Gratlspitze". Enjoy the 360° panoramic view including over 26 church spires, can you find them all?
