Description

Day 3: from Pinegg via Aschau, Anderl's hut to Zireiner See and Bayreuth hut --> approx. 7 - 8 h

Your day begins with an energetic start in Pinegg. Lace up your hiking boots tightly and get ready, as you will be on the trail for several hours. The path first leads you along the asphalt road towards Aschau. But before you reach the climb, turn left onto a quiet forest road that takes you into the wild romantic nature.

Step by step, you climb the altitude meters and finally reach the cozy snack station Stegerstall. After a short break, continue to the Haaser inn, where you can enjoy the view and recharge your energy.

The journey then leads you through the "Burgstallgraben" to Wimm and along the forest road to the idyllic Anderl's hut. Here you can take a well-deserved break and strengthen yourself with regional delicacies.

Refreshed and full of anticipation, you continue your hike. Over green alpine meadows and past picturesque mountain peaks, you reach the Roßkogelsattel. Here there is the option for a short detour to Roßkogel or a relaxed rest at the Sonnwendjoch mountain house.

The next highlight of your route awaits you: the sparkling Zireiner See, a true natural jewel. Let yourself be enchanted by its beauty and enjoy the moment of peace and silence.

After a refreshing break at the lake, you hike further to the Zireiner Alm and finally to the cozy Bayreuth hut. Here you can end the day with good food and socializing before you retreat to the well-deserved rest of the mountains.
