Description

We facilitate this mountain summit challenge by travelling with the Alpenrosenbahn to the mountain station. Beginning our walk at the Talkaser restaurant, we walk along the road as far the Höhningscharte. Leaving the road, we branch of to the left and follow a nice wide walking path to the Einködlscharte. On our return, our round-trip will complete at this point. We follow the steep uphill mountain path to the left and after approx. 45 minutes we reach the summit of the Gampenkogel. Taking a breather, we can enjoy the magnificent view here while recharging with a small snack. For our descent, we opt for the trail on the south-ridge. Countless blueberry and cranberry bushes fringe the route. Once on the road, we keep to the left, uphill, and after a few minutes we get a view of the Kreuzjöchlsee (lake). For a small detour to the Brechhornhaus mountain restaurant, as well as the Annakapelle (chapel) you really should make the time. We then walk via the Brechhornhaus and the Harlassanger Bründl back to the Einködlscharte – our round-trip is now complete. Walking once again along the nice wide walking path, we arrive back at our original starting point.
