Moderate Karwendel summit (2,082m) with magnificent views of the Falzthurntal valley near Pertisau, the Rofan mountains near Maurach and the Ahornboden in the Eng.
The circular tour begins at the Gramai Alm and leads through the picturesque Gramaigrund up to the Lamsenjoch. Directly at the pass, the trail branches off to the right and initially runs along a wide grassy ridge. This is followed by a narrow ridge, which is secured with a rope in a short section, up to the Hahnkampl (2,082 metres). From the summit, an impressive panorama opens up on both sides: to the west, the view extends deep down to the Großer Ahornboden and the Eng, while to the east lies the Falzthurntal valley near Pertisau, above which rise the Rofan mountains near Maurach. The descent leads across extensive alpine pastures down to the Gramai Hochleger. From there, the trail continues downhill back to the Gramai Alm.
By regional bus (lines 8332 or 390) to the toll station at the entrance to the Karwendel valleys in Pertisau (get off at the "Pertisau Karwendeltäler" stop), then change to the vintage bus (service suspended since August 2025) to the Gramai Alm. View timetable and contact.
