Alpine experiences and a magnificent view of the Kitzbüheler Horn
Take the Harschbichlbahn cable car up to the mid station. From there, hike past the Angereralmsee lake and the Hornpark climbing forest towards the Müllneralm. Just before the forest ends, turn left onto a hiking trail that leads uphill over forest floor and tree roots. Then follow the signs to the Stanglalm. The trail leads across alpine meadows past the Alte Stanglalm and the last section along a forest road. Immediately in the small forest behind the Stanglalm, continue your tour to Harschbichl. On your way, you can let your gaze wander over the Oberndorf valley floor, the hilly Bichlach, the grassy mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps, and the Wilder Kaiser in the “forest cinema.” Once you reach Harschbichl, you will have a magnificent view of the imposing Kitzbüheler Horn with its tall transmission tower from the Harschbichlalm. The descent is on the forest path in an easterly direction. You will soon reach the junction to the hiking trail to the Angerer Alm. Accompanied by the gondolas of the Harschbichlbahn, you will reach the Angerer Alm. A hiking trail on the back of the Alm finally takes you back to the middle station of the Harschbichlbahn.
