Description

From the car park Rofan lifts II, a forest path leads towards Schönjochalm. After about 1.5 kilometres, the path branches off to the right, following the signs for "Gfaßkopfsteig." The trail then leads up to the Gfaßsattel, the destination of your hike. Here, you will find a wayside shrine and a bench, offering a perfect spot to take a short break and enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings and the branched forest trails. The return route follows the hiking trail to the right, leading directly back to your starting point at the car park Rofan lifts II.

  • Arrival by public transport

    Take the regional bus (line 4080 to Achenkirch, change to line 7801 to Steinberg) to the Rofanlifte II car park in Steinberg am Rofan. Get off at the "Steinberg a. R. Rofanlift II" stop.
