A challenging hike to the 2,087-metre-high Vorderunnutz from the cross-country skiing centre car park in Steinberg. From the Kotalm, the trail becomes more scenic with views of the Karwendel, Achensee, Rofan and Guffert mountains.
The hike to the Vorderunnutz can be shortened considerably by starting from the car park at the cross-country skiing centre in Steinberg. The ascent begins on a scenic but somewhat steep path through the forest, which eventually joins the main path to the Vorderunnutz (2,087m) just below the Kotalm. The return is via the same route.
Tip: Start your hike to Vorderunnutz from the car park at the cross-country skiing centre in Steinberg to shorten the route considerably.
