Description

The tour starts from the Waldhäusl inn in Steinberg. From there, follow the signs towards "Guffert." After about 2 hours and 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the turnoff to the Schmiedquelle (dry spring). The trail leads past the spring and continues towards Luxegg until you reach the Guffertstein (1,963m). The descent leads downhill towards Steinberg, passing the Luxegg Alm (not serviced). Keep to the right on the trail until you reach the village road. The return route then follows the road back to the Waldhäusl inn.

  • Arrival by public transport

    Take the regional bus (line 4080 towards Achenkirch, change to line 7801 to Steinberg am Rofan) and get off at the stop "Steinberg a. R. Abzw Waldhäusl". The inn Gasthof Waldhäusl is located nearby.
