The Hohe Salve, one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in Tyrol!

Description

The starting point for this hike is the valley station of the Skiwelt Hochbrixen cable car in Brixen im Thale.
We have the option of following the tarmac road towards Gasthof Nieding and on to the mountain station of the Hochbrixen gondola lift as far as the Filzalmsee lake, or we can turn left at the Ochsenweide farm towards the Obertreichl herb garden as far as the three farms, where we turn left after the last farm onto the meadow path which then leads us uphill along a forest path. Here, too, we have the option of following the tarmac road past the Oberkaslach snack station or following the steep forest path to the Hochbrixen gondola lift mountain station and on to Filzalmsee and Filzam. From there we follow the beautifully laid out hiking trail to the Jordan Chapel, from which a healing spring rises, the water of which is not only thirst-quenching but also suitable for washing out the eyes, see description on site. Passing the Salvensee lake, we begin the ascent to the summit of the Hohe Salve, a few serpentines lead us over a steep slope to the summit. The Hohe Salve is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in Tyrol.
