We recommend doing a few fitness exercises before the hiking season to start the season well prepared.
Some remote huts are serviced and offer simple meals and drinks, especially in the summer season. Other huts are self-catering huts where hikers have to bring their own food. It is important to check the opening hours of the huts in advance.
