Challenging tour from Achenkirch via Koglalm & Seekaralm to the Seekarspitze (2,053 metres) – 1,130 metres of elevation gain, 4-hour ascent, stunning views of Lake Achensee & the Karwendel.
From the car park of the Sixenhof local history museum, follow the forest path via the Seebauer Hinterwinkl to the Koglalm mountain hut (1,286 metres, not serviced) and continue to the Seekaralm mountain hut (1,500 metres). The path climbs steeply via the ridge to the Seekarspitze (2,053 metres). The return is via the same route.
Take the regional bus (line 4080 or 390) to Achenkirch and get off at the "Achenkirch Fischerwirt" stop.
