Easy hike along forest roads to the Zöhreralm at 1,334 metres and the Adlerhorst, with beautiful views of Achenkirch along the way.
From the Sonnberg car park at the biomass cogeneration plant, a forest path leads to the Zöhreralm mountain hut (1,334 metres, time ca. 1 hour 15 minutes). Follow the steep track to the “Adlerhorst” (1,230 metres). From here, a scenic switchback trail winds its way down back to the car park.
Take the regional bus to Achenkirch (line 4080 or 390) and get off at the Achenkirch Bäckerei stop. From there, walk a short distance along the Dorfstraße towards the lake, then turn left uphill at the next road. Continue through the underpass beneath the Achensee main road (B181) to the car park next to the biomass cogeneration plant.
