Kirchberg - Schafelberg
Starting point: Tourist office. At the main road, keep left in the direction of Restaurant Seewirt. Turn right towards the MACK mountain pine oil distillery. Via the spectacular Steinerne Stiege (stone staircase) through the so-called Kalktal to the summit of the Kirchberg at 1679 m, from there on to the Schafelberg, 1597 m high. The short but very steep descent leads via the Teufelspalfen directly back to the Latschenbad and back to the village centre. You need to be fit, sure-footed and free from vertigo (exposed areas, rope safety).
