The Rofan is known to have quite a lot to offer hikers. This circular hike from Münster up to the summit cross next to the Kniepass chapel is an absolute insider tip among Rofan enthusiasts.
The hike starts in Münster hamlet Grünsbach at the forest car park. After five minutes on foot you reach the Habacher Bach, which you cross via a small bridge. Then turn left and simply follow the course of the stream. The trail leads over partly slightly steep terrain to the power spot "Herrgottstein". This spot practically invites you to take a short break.
From here continue to follow the signposts until you reach the Postalm via a beautiful path. The view is simply indescribable, you really have to experience it yourself. The Inn valley lies at your feet and the view into the Alpbachtal and Zillertal brings a smile to your face! From the Postalm, continuing to follow the signs, you reach the Kniepass chapel. The youth association Münster has erected an impressive cross here.
The destination is reached after 500 meters elevation gain and about 1 hour and 15 minutes walking time!
With this fabulous view, the packed snack tastes even better!
The descent takes place on the partly steep path to the right of the cross and then continues over the gravel road back to the forest car park.
