Guided cultural walk through Alpbach – from the village centre via Inneralpbach to the historic Weikart Mill and Brechlstube. Experience nature, history and village culture up close.
What was Alpbach like in the past – and what makes the village so special today? On this guided circular walk, you discover the history of the area step by step and get to know Alpbach from a completely new perspective.
The tour starts in the village centre, from where the route leads via the Neada to Inneralpbach, offering fascinating insights into how the village has evolved – from traditional life in earlier times to the Alpbach of today with its unmistakable character.
On the return journey along the middle mountain path, the group is welcomed at the Weikart Mill, where an engaging guided tour brings the historic milling process to life and illustrates how people once worked and produced flour here.
A further highlight is the Brechlstube – a former building used for drying flax – offering another tangible glimpse into the everyday and economic history of Alpbach.
