Short hike to the Buchauer Waterfall – 30 minutes walking time, 100m elevation gain, easy to reach and starting close to the valley.
This tour starts from opposite the tennis court near the Atoll Achensee. Walk through the underpass of the Achensee main road to the district Rofangarten. Follow the village road straight on as it climbs to a junction. Turn right and follow the yellow signposts “Buchauer Wasserfall”. The return to the starting point is via “Buchau” past the Familienresort Buchau.
Take the regional bus (line 8336, 4080 or 390) to Maurach am Achenese and get off at the "Maurach a. A. Atoll Achensee" stop.
