Equipment

Observe safety instructions at the gorge entrance! Entry to the gorge is not permitted in rainy weather!

Safety harnesses for children can be borrowed at the Kaiserhaus!

Hiking with dogs through the Kaiserklamm and Tiefenbachklamm is not recommended due to steel bridges with grating (especially not feasible for small dogs).

The gorge is closed on heavy rain days and in winter for safety reasons.

Description

At Pinegg, after the bridge, ascend to the left and follow the Ache to the Ellbach. At the fork in the road, turn left towards the Gasthof Kaiserhaus. At the next bridge, you will find the entrance to the Kaiserklamm.

Follow the narrow path (surefootedness required, safety harnesses for attaching children are available at the Kaiserhaus and at Sport Ossi in Kramsach) through the gorge up to the Trauersteg. Return on the forest road (trail no. 11) to the Kaiserhaus and then continue on the asphalt road to the starting point.
